What is ATLCAT
ATLCAT is the realization of a crazy idea for a ride to combine as much of the twisted, wonderful, awkward bullshit trail that lies within our city limits into one route. Over the 100 miles you will navigate around the entire city of Atlanta on a tour stringing together a mix of road, bike path, neighborhood cuts, and a lot of hand-built trail. Expect about a 50/50 ratio of dirt to pavement with some very technical sections. You may ride any bike you wish however a gravel bike with large tires or MTB is recommended.
Ride at your own risk
While there will be support in the form of aid stations along the route, your safety is YOUR responsibility. We are organizing this event as a fun, non serious ride. While there will be some folks racing, this is more about completion and having a good day out. Atlanta is not a town with fantastic bicycle infrastructure so there will be some moments where a busy road crossing will be necessary. Take the two minutes and wait for the light. Throughout the day we will have someone on call in the case of an emergency however the cutoff for support will be at midnight. Before the ride, please follow all instructions from the email (which will go out week of) and sign your liability/ride at your own risk waiver.
